The R&D Officer- Creative is responsible for developing, testing, and improving food products, recipes, and menu items aligned with the company’s brand standards, cost targets, food safety requirements, and customer preferences. The role supports product innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement of existing menu offerings. Key Responsibilities Develop new recipes, food products, and menu concepts based on business direction and market trends. Conduct recipe testing, product trials, sensory evaluation, and product improvement activities. Prepare product costing, yield testing, and standard recipe documentation. Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, QA, Marketing, and Production teams for product launches and implementation. Ensure that all developed products meet food safety, quality, taste, appearance, and cost standards. Assist in supplier evaluation, raw material testing, and ingredient substitution. Standardize cooking procedures, portioning, plating, and product specifications. Support store or commissary product training and rollouts. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on feedback and operational concerns. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance in the R&D kitchen. Qualifications Graduate of Culinary Arts, Food Technology, HRM, or any related course. With experience as an R&D Chef, Product Development Chef, Commissary Chef, or Sous Chef in a food service, restaurant, commissary, or food manufacturing setup. Knowledgeable in recipe development, product costing, food safety, and kitchen operations. Creative, detail-oriented, and analytical in product testing and documentation. Good communication and coordination skills. Willing to report in Taguig City. Amenable to work during holidays, weekends, and extended hours when required.
